The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich Review

The 4-Hour Workweek, Escape the 9-5, Live anywhere, and Join the New Rich.

I would like to say that I have found a new hero in Tim Ferriss. When I read this book I felt that he was writing this book for me.

He begins the book on all his triumphs in life from tango champion to kick boxing record holder. but he tells us that he wouldn't have been able to do all those things if he did not know how to free up his time.

When you beginning reading this book you find out how he has been able to make his money but find out that this book is not just written on how to make money but is about time management. He is a big into Pareto's Law, aka the 80/20 rule and Parkinson's Law, where you will focus the most effort in the amount of time allotted to you.

You see, Time Management.

He gave me this one idea of when you begin a new course at school and you get a grade that you don't agree with, set up a time with your instructor and you come with question after question after question so that its almost a burden to have you as a student and they are glad the semester is over to have you leave. It worked for me, I turned a B- into a B+. I wish I would have known this sooner.

He speaks about outsourcing your life for all the mundane you can have someone else do. Just like you get an accountant to handle your taxes, or a lawyer to look over you agreements, or a secretary to handle you calls. Brickwork is a virtual assistant that he mentions and there are many more. They are all over the web. If you don't like India, look into the Philippine's, there accents are not as noticeable and their English is perfect as well.

Also you want to find a type of business online that can handle your drop shipping, manufacturing, credit card processing, and affiliate advertising to get you leads to transact your product. But you can be able to do it because you are leaner and don't have all the overhead. Its the way private labeling is going these days.

Once you can get your business set up and on auto pilot you need to work on freeing up your time to enjoy the spoils of life. On a recent interview I saw he speaks about how he spends most of his money on travel and accommodations and does not have much in the speaks of material possessions.

He has been an inspiration. I highly recommend his book as it goes deeper into steps on how to free up your time and run your business.

The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich Overview

What do you do? Tim Ferriss has trouble answering the question. Depending on when you ask this
controversial Princeton University guest lecturer, he might answer:

“I race motorcycles in Europe.”
“I ski in the Andes.”
“I scuba dive in Panama.”
“I dance tango in Buenos Aires.”

He has spent more than five years learning the secrets of the New Rich, a fast-growing subculture who has abandoned the “deferred-life plan” and instead mastered the new currencies—time and mobility—to create luxury lifestyles in the here and now.

Whether you are an overworked employee or an entrepreneur trapped in your own business, this book is the compass for a new and revolutionary world. Join Tim Ferriss as he teaches you:

• How to outsource your life to overseas virtual assistants for per hour and do whatever you want
• How blue-chip escape artists travel the world without quitting their jobs
• How to eliminate 50% of your work in 48 hours using the principles of a forgotten Italian economist
• How to trade a long-haul career for short work bursts and freuent "mini-retirements"
• What the crucial difference is between absolute and relative income
• How to train your boss to value performance over presence, or kill your job (or company) if it’s beyond repair
• What automated cash-flow “muses” are and how to create one in 2 to 4 weeks
• How to cultivate selective ignorance—and create time—with a low-information diet
• What the management secrets of Remote Control CEOs are
• How to get free housing worldwide and airfare at 50–80% off
• How to fill the void and create a meaningful life after removing work and the office

You can have it all—really.
