I've read a few books by Robin Sharma and have never been let down. This book continues his line of excellent leadership teaching. Lead Without a Title is an excellent philosophy to help you in the workplace as well as in your daily life. The principles taught in this book are easy to remember and laid out in such a way to give you acronyms and catch phrases to jog your memory throughout the day, making it easier to implement the practices. Written like a novel, it's not like reading an outline on leadership or a seminar. You get to know the characters and relate with them. You can see yourself in the role, which is an excellent visual while reading. I highly recommend this book to ANYONE, regardless of position or place in your life.     After reading Maxwell's Success 101 and Attitude 101, Leadership 101 offered final advice on how to grow into a good leader. Maxwell offers his advice in an upbeat, friendly way, and he is sure to offer anecdotes for encouragement along the way. I hold a leadership position at work right now; I am the head intern. I am in charge of a group of four interns who turn to me for advice, both personal and professional, but I wondered why my leadership skills went unnoticed by them. I found that Part 2 of the book, The Traits of a Leader, was the most beneficial section for me. It helped me recognize the leadership qualities I was lacking. In this section, I benefitted from the advice on how to prioritize my life, and how to develop trust in my work relationships. It turns out that the reason many of my interns did not follow me as their leader is because I was not prioritizing their duties and I did not trust them to do a good enough job. Once I applied these concepts to my job, I saw a significant change in the way my interns were reacting to me.
    While I do not expect to use all of Maxwell's ideas, he breaks them down into ideas that can be personally conceived. I found myself applying his ideas and suggestions to my life, and in a self-help book, there is nothing better than being able to apply the guidelines to my own life. Throughout all three of Maxwell's books that I read, I did not feel patronized or like I was being talked down to. I was able to understand what he wanted me to do because he used plenty of personal examples. If you are interested in ways to apply leadership in your career or your life, this book will give you good insight into how that should be done.

I could literally discuss concepts this book covered and how I have applied or plan on applying them for hours. Probably the greatest thing that stands out to me was Tony's concept of building into the lives of those you lead. See yourself as the servant of all rather than the leader of all.

    I really enjoyed reading this book. This book "really tells it like it is"....and uses real people as modern day examples. Very interesting...and easy read that flows and really is insightful to the mechanics of leadership, your treatment of followers, networking, and having "ganas".

    There are many books on leadership out there: so many that it's almost impossible to separate the good from the mediocre. I was fortunate enough to have come across this book years ago. It is one of the rare books that I go back to from time to time as I get older and hopefully wiser.

    Developing the Leader Within You is an excellent introduction to leadership for a number of reasons. John Maxwell is recognized as a leader in the field of leadership, and this book clearly reflects his long and deep experience with leading. What I like best about the book is not only the depth of knowledge but the fact that the material is presented in such a way that it's easy to read and learn. Each chapter has one key theme, such as: "The Definition of Leadership: Influence" or "The Most Important Ingredient of Leadership: Integrity." All of the main sections within a chapter are also clearly marked, and the lists and diagrams help make the material easier to digest and easier to find when I look back at the book.

    The truth is that all of us can be leaders and most of us have already been put in places where we have to lead. This book has helped me understand leadership over the years as I've worked at various churches and in Christian schools. Because I'm an introvert by nature it was difficult for me to see myself as a leader; however, this book has helped me see myself and God's call on my life in a different and more positive way. I like the fact, as well, that Maxwell has outlined different levels of leadership that one may attain. Every time I look back at this book, I find that there are principles from the book that I've already integrated into my life, as well as others that it's now time to work on.
